Why Pelling Is A Must Visit

Home Why Pelling Is A Must Visit

Being an absolutely residential zone, Pelling seems to bring you back to a lost time. Pelling is among the most famous highland resort of Sikkim. Pelling is a Natural Wonder with its Majesty & Beauty. A trip to Sikkim would not be complete without a visit to Pelling. No honest account would fail to mention Pelling’s peaceful monasteries, lush biospheres, bubbling waterfalls and shimmering lakes. Khecheopalri Lake, monasteries, and Singshore Bridge are only a few of the stunning places in Pelling.

Mt. Kanchenjunga scenic overlook in Pelling also has exciting activities ski and trekking. In the winter, a blanket of snow slowly covers the hill station, hiding it from sight. This is the intriguing history of Pelling. The first capital of Sikkim was Pelling. Pelling is at an elevation of 6800 feet and offers stunning views of the Koktang, Kumbhakarna, and Dom mountains. Pelling is home to tribes and communities like the Bhutias, Lepchas, Tamangs, Limboos, and Marwaris, among others.

Pelling is one such hidden gem in Sikkim that most people miss out on because of these tourist attractions, but it is just as charming, if not more, than any other city in this state.

Also, you can also take some really nice hiking trails from here to maximize your visit. And if you like monasteries and palace ruins you'll find this place worthwhile to visit, I'm sure. Well, so if you are searching for some calm peaceful time in Sikkim, Pelling is the place for you. Here you can witness some beautiful waterfalls, the Kanchenjunga mountains, bridges and more.

The place is a small, quiet city without much hurry and bustle, the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view.

How to reach Pelling

Pelling is a bit trickier to reach than some of Sikkim’s other main cities, particularly if you’re not driving your own car. There are no buses that go directly to Pelling so, first, you need to reach Geyzing (district administrative centre) and continue your journey to this small hill town.
