North Sikkim

  • Yumthang Valley & Yumesamdong:

    • Domestic tourists: Permit from the Police Check Post.

    • Foreign tourists: Must apply via a registered travel agency.

  • Thangu & Chopta Valley:

    • Foreigners must travel in groups of two or more through a registered travel agency.

  • Gurudongmar Lake:

    • Restricted for foreign tourists; domestic tourists require Police Check Post clearance.

South Sikkim

  • Mainam Trekking & Alpine Mountaineering Expeditions:

    • Permits issued after clearance from multiple departments, including Home, Forest, Army, and Police.

National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary Permits

  • Issued by the Forest Department in Gangtok.


Required Documents for PAP in Sikkim

Documents for Indian Nationals:

  • Voter ID/Driving License (Aadhar is not accepted)

  • Two passport-size photos

  • Birth certificate for children below 18

Documents for Foreign Tourists:
